Going along Boring Canal
he is piqued to waste a sin

WAIT

WAIT

Roses await
sun and wind to clear
the baleful fog:
I fear she’ll say no
to my love again

ALOOF

ALOOF

Unlinked to the tree
he doesn’t know his family–
stands aloof, questions

ancestors don’t change
the mood of the weather:
the leaf needs his name

NEST

Peeping through the fog
the sun feebly comforts
a sparrow's nest
built under the window sill:
I hear a new born crying
